The pitched roofed house and garage are embraced by the low gradient roof covering the ancillary (garden shed) and transitional areas (veranda and terrace). The terrace was placed on the less fortunate north-eastern side but it still opens to the best protected part of the plot and offers a fascinating view of the abbey.
